Who knew The Body Shop did liquid lipsticks? I certainly didn't! I love The Body Shop for skincare and body care and swear by their Aloe Day Cream, my holy grail moisturiser! I was kindly sent some makeup over to try and was pleasantly surprised.

With a creamy, velvet matte texture, these are the exact type of liquid lipstick that I like. They go on creamy and pigmented, take a little while to fully dry but once set they are stay put without feeling dry or uncomfortable. The formula is also lightweight the way I like it. One downside is that they don't last as long as I'd like, after a meal I usually need a top up especially in the middle of the lip. To be fair though, I usually expect this in creamy velvet formulations- I'd rather top up than have the dreaded dry line along my bottom lip that comes with a really really matte liquid lippy!
My favourite shade is Taipei Orchid, the perfect rosy pink shade, easy to wear every day and goes with almost every makeup look.
Like all The Body Shop products, these liquid lipsticks are cruelty free, vegetarian and carmine free- a plus in my books!
